1. Purpose
This AI Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets forth guidelines to ensure that StackCX AI tools and services ("AI Services") are used responsibly, ethically, and as intended. It is designed to prevent misuse, protect data integrity, and align AI usage with legal and ethical standards. There are inherent legal and ethical considerations and risks associated with the use of AI technologies which continue to be used in new and innovative ways. Each user must conduct their own ongoing risk assessment when deploying and using the AI Services.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to all users, including employees, contractors, partners, and customers, who access or interact with StackCX AI Services.
3. Permissible Use
Users may:
- Leverage AI Services to support legitimate business operations and objectives as outlined in their agreements with StackCX.
- Integrate AI Services with approved systems and applications, provided such integrations comply with the StackCX Fair Use Policy, the terms of your services agreement with StackCX and general ethical guidelines.
- Use AI Services to analyze, interpret, and process data within the scope of their subscription or licensing agreement.
4. Prohibited Use
Users may not:
- Deploy AI Services for illegal, harmful, or unethical activities, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, or exploitation.
- Use AI Services to create or distribute content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or intended to cause harm.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, duplicate, or resell AI Services without prior written consent from StackCX.
- Exceed usage limits, such as API call thresholds, compute resources or the StackCX Fair Use Policy (available at www.stackcx.com/fairuse), without prior written approval.
- Use AI Services to process sensitive or restricted data (e.g., personal health information, payment card data) unless explicitly authorized and supported by appropriate compliance measures.
5. Ethical Considerations
Users must:
- Avoid introducing bias into AI models or outputs and take reasonable steps to mitigate existing biases.
- Ensure transparency by clearly disclosing the use of AI-generated outputs when applicable.
- Refrain from using AI Services to replace human oversight in decision-making processes where significant risks or ethical concerns exist. The AI Services must not be used to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Resource Management and Efficiency
To maintain performance and cost efficiency, users must:
- Optimize AI queries, tasks, and API calls to avoid excessive resource consumption.
- Respect service limits defined in their agreement and promptly address any overuse notifications.
- Avoid conducting stress tests, brute-force tasks, or other activities designed to overwhelm the system.
7. Monitoring and Enforcement
StackCX reserves the right to monitor AI Services usage to ensure compliance with this Policy. Actions that may be taken in response to violations include:
- Issuing warnings and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Imposing additional fees for overuse or unauthorized activities.
- Temporarily or permanently suspending access to AI Services.
- Terminating agreements for severe or repeated violations.
8. Data Privacy and Security
Users must:
- Comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, or other relevant frameworks.
- Ensure that data inputted into AI Services does not violate third-party privacy rights or contractual obligations.
- Use secure methods to access and integrate with AI Services, such as encrypted connections and approved authentication protocols.
9. Amendments
This Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in AI technology, legal standards, or organizational practices. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of AI Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
